Esta vez los voy a dejar con un video buenérrimo que conocí gracias a mi buen Rodrigo (The Mind) y que me encantó. Así (Voca People) se hace llamar un grupo de 8 personas que hace presentaciones combinando canto acapella, efectos vocales y beatbox. Ellos dicen que son aliens y vienen de un planeta llamado Voca en donde no hay forma de expresión mas que a través de sonidos vocales. Aquí el video con el único performance que podrán encontrár de ellos. Disfruten. y comenten =)

This time im going to show you a very good video that i watched the other day thanks to my good friend Rodrigo (The Mind) that i loved. VocaPeople is the name of a group of 8 people who make performances combining vocal sounds, with acapella singing and beatboxing. They say they're aliens who come from the planet Voca, a musical planet that has no verbal communication but use vocal expressions only. La recomendación musical / The musical suggestion
Pues hoy les voy a hablar de un músico bastante peculiar. Se llama Matthew Paul Miller, mejor conocido como Matisyahu quien es un judío ortodoxo de Brooklyn, NY y que se rige estrictamente por las normal de esta religión.
Miller a los 14 era un joven mas, rebelde, tenía rastas y gusto por la música reggae, el hip-hop y el beatboxing. En un viaje de campamento, afirma que conoció a Dios y desde alli, su curiosidad por lo espriritual lo llevó a un viaje a Israel que significó un punto de reflexión en su vida.
Empezó a estudiar teatro, música y se dedicó a practicar y desarrollar su creatividad musical yendo a cantar a locales.
Matthew conoció a un rabino, y fue él quien lo convirtió en lo que es ahora. Una persona que sigue la disciplina y escructura del judaísmo. Fue en ese momento en que el Matthew Miller se convirtió en Matisyahu (equivalente en hebreo a Mateo) y que tiene un estilo de música muy especial, basada en el reggae principalmente, con toques de hip-hop y en muchas canciones y presentaciones, incluye el beatbox como parte del espectáculo el cual lo hace bastante atractivo.

Today I'm going to talk about a very unique musician. His name is Matthew Paul Miller, better known as Matisyahu who is a hasidic jewish from Brooklyn, NY and strictly follows the rules from this relgion.
At the age of 14, Miller was a young kid, with dreadlocks who like reggae music, hip-hop and beatboxing. On a camp trip, he states he knew God and since then he started having a very special interest in spirituality. That took him to a trip to Israel which brought a lot of though and reflection about his life.
Then he started studying music and used to practice and develop his creativity by performing at some places.
Matthew met a rabbi who turned him into what he is nowadays. A guy that follows the judaism discipline and ever since, he is called Matisyahu, who has a very peculiar music style, based on reggae and hip-hop. Also in some of his songs and most of his perfomances he adds beatboxing to his show which makes it very attractive and sounds great.

A un mes de la sexta parte de la secuela de Saw / A month away from the sixth part of the Saw series
Hace poco volví a recordar que se acerca, como cada año ya, la sexta película de Saw este Octubre para deleitarnos con más juegos y sorprendernos como ya es una costumbre y como se que mucha gente no las ha visto, pues alli va el post con un poco de información extra para darles un poco la idea de lo que se trata y se animen a verlas.
Es una secuela de horror que básicamente trata de un don que rapta gente que ha cometido algún tipo de delito, que ha hecho algún mal a otras personas o que básicamente no valora la vida creando una especie de trampas a las que él llama "juegos" para que al final, si logran salir vivos, aprendan su lección. Y lo chido es que, además de que no pueden encontrarlo, no podrían culparlo por asesinato a pesar de tantas muertes, porque prácticamente él nunca mata a nadie.
Más gente se va involucrando en el asunto y la historia se empieza a complicar conforme van avanzando las películas. Pero creanme que les gustará. Algo que me llama mucho la atención es que además de que la idea general de la película es muy buena y original (no cualquier "viernes 13" en donde ya sabes tooodo lo que va a pasar antes de verlo), es que cada minuto de la pelicula te tiene mordiéndote las uñas preguntandote qué diablos va a pasar después... y siempre pasa lo que menos esperas.
Las razones del porqué hace todo esto y porqué piensa asi ya no se los contaré para que las vean pero los dejo con un video de la presentación oficial del teaser trailer de la sexta película con entrevista a Tobin Bell (el personaje principal). 100% recomendada para los que disfrutan de este género!!!

A few days ago i remembered that the new Saw movie, the sixth part is coming soon next October as every year now, to get us into more scary games and surprise us with new stuff as they always do. And as i know there is a lot of people who hasn't watched a single movie, here it is a new post to give you a little more information about them and see if that helps a little.
This is an american horror franchise which is basically about a dude who likes giving people 'lessons', people who have committed a crime, hurt other people or that simply don't put a value on their lives. He does it by putting them on traps which he calls "games" so at the end, if they survive, the can learn their lesson. The funny thing is that, besides of the fact that they can't get him, they can't even accuse him for murder, because technically he doesn't kill people, they do it by themselves by not getting out of the games.
So as the movies go on, more people get involved and the story start getting a little bit more complicated, new stuff is always coming out. Believe me, you'll like it unless you're very sensitive to blood stuff and things like that. Something that really gets my attention on these movies is that, first, the fact that the general idea y very good and very original,it's not just any "Friday 13th" where you will always know what's going to happen even before it happens. And every minute will make you bite your nails wondering what's next and always surprising you about what ends up with, it'll never be what you thought.
The reasons why this guy does all that and why he thinks that way is something i won't tell you now so you watch them but i got a video with the official world presentation of the teaser trailer with a interview with the star Tobin Bell (Jigsaw). 100% recommended to this genre lovers!!

El dilema en el remake de "Barbarella" / The big dilemma on the "Barbarella" remake
El otro dia anda browseando la web as usual y me topé con un cacho de información en donde decía: "Angelina Jolie y Megan Fox se enfrentarán", lo cual me llamó bastante la atención (está de más explicar la razón) y me dieron ganas de escribir este post aunque me de pena parecer de revista de chismes.
La cosa aquí es que resulta que harán un remake de una pelicula sesentera erótica de ciencia ficción basada en los comics franceses de "Barbarella" de un tal Jean-Claude Forest en donde la protagonista en aquel entonces fue Jane Fonda quien con esta movie, comenzó a resaltar en el mundo del espectáculo. Y como un paréntesis, para la banda que no topó esos tiempos y sepan mas o menos de quien les hablo, Jane fonda da vida a la suegra que nadie quisiera tener en "Monster-in-law" (o en español "Si te casas te mato") protagonizada por Jennifer Lopez y la misma Fonda.
Ya habiendo hecho una reseña de la película, la gente encargada del relajito de la nueva "Barbarella" anda viendo a quien darle el papel protagónico entre Jolie y Fox, lo cual no es nada fácil, además de todos los sucesos ya acontecidos acerca de las fuertes comparaciones entre ellas diciendo que Megan Fox es la "siguiente" Angelina Jolie debido a su gran parecido en cuanto a apariencia, tatuajes, etc. o que según dicen por alli a Jolie le molestó la idea de que Fox haya sido considerada para protagonizar el papel de Lara Croft en la proxima pelicula de la secuela de Tomb Rider.
Lo que si, es que las 2 me harían tirar la baba, harían un excelente trabajo y además, según Dino De Laurentiis, el productor de la pelicula original, solo Angelina Jolie o Megan Fox podrían garantizar que los 150 millones de dolares propuestos para hacer la pelicula se convertiran en un éxito total. Tambíen se dice por alli que "cualquiera que se quede con el papel, se convertirá en el simbolo sexual de Hollywood numero 1 en el planeta".. como la ven?
Entonces pués alli les dejo una fotillos pa'que vean que el responsable de la decisión no la tiene nada facil y pues hechenle a la votada lol -->.

The thing is that they are going to do a remake for the erotic sci-fi movie "Barbarella" which was made in the 60's and it was based on the french comic books from Jean-Claude Forest, starring Jane Fonda back then who's actress career actually started with this movie. Now for those people who doesn't know who Jane Fonda is, you probably remember her for being the bitchy mother-in-law no one would ever wanted to have on the "Monster-in-law" movie, starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda herself.
Now that i have talked a little bit about what's this all about, the people that is working on the new "Barbarella" is thinking about 2 girls to make Fonda's role, Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox, which i don't think it's an easy decision to make, first of all they are both great and there has been said that they look alike cause they both have tatoos all over their body, etc. Also because people says that Megan Fox is the "next Angelina Jolie" and also because they say that Jolie got furious about the fact that Fox was considered to play the Lara Croft role on the next Tomb Rider movie.
The truth is, both of them would make me drool. I think they both would do a great job and besides, Dino Laurentiis, who was the producer for the original movie, said that "only Angelina, 34, or Megan, 23, can guarantee that the proposed $150 million project will become a monster hit". Studio insiders say: “This will be the first time Angie and Megan have ever faced off for the same role. Whoever gets the part will become the absolute number one Hollywood sex symbol on the planet.”, how about that huh?
So i posted a few pic comparing them for you to see that whoever gets to decide, doesn't have an easy one... and please vote! =) --->

Un buen disco que vale la pena escuchar... / A good album that's worth listening to...
Pa' todos los que disfrutaron del primer disco de Rhythms del Mundo en donde venía la tan sonada versión salsera de "Clocks" de Coldplay, o "Dancing shoes" de Arctic Monkeys y "She will be loved" de Maroon 5 en el album titulado "Rhythms del Mundo: Cuba", alli les va esta nota.
Pues para los que no sabían, Rhythms del Mundo es una fusión de músicos cubanos provenientes de Buena Vista Social Club y de algún lado más, con músicos y bandas de varias partes del mundo como EUA, Inglaterra, Irlanda, etc. en donde en la edición ya mencionada, la banda cubana le hizo unos arreglos bastante sabrosos a las rolas originales.
Ahora nos han deleitado con una nueva edición titulada "Rhythms del Mundo: Classics" en donde recopilan algunos de los "mejores clásicos de la música" covereados por varias bandas y, además, con arreglos de los cubanitos estos. Suena chido no?
Entre los clásicos que trae el disco, topamos rolas como "Under pressure" y "Bohemian Rhapsody" de Queen, "Beat it" de Michael Jackson, "Imagine" de Lennon, "Are you ready for love?" de Elton John, "Smells like teen spirit" de Nirvana, entre otras, hechas cover por bandas como Cat Power, Amy Winehouse, Editors, The Killers, The Kooks, Keane.
Lo más chido de todo esto es que Rhythms del Mundo es un album con fines no lucrativos que recauda fondos con las ventas de los discos y se los da a la APE (Artists' Project Earth), una organización caritativa de Inglaterra que recluta bandas y artistas de talla internacional para albums, conciertos, exhibiciones de arte y eventos relacionados para crear consciencia acerca de problemas relacionados con los cambios climáticos, recaudar fondos para campañas y ayuda a damnificados por desastres naturales.
Asi que pues ya saben. Como no encontré NADA en youtube ni en ninguna página de free streaming las rolas de este disco para estar muele y muele a cada uno de uds. via emesen, pues se me ocurrió subir el disco a mi canal de Orb y hacer esta notilla para que puedan esuchar el disco en streaming sin tener que bajarlo.

To all of those who enojoyed the first relase of "Rhtythms del Mundo: Cuba" in which a salsa version of "Clocks" by Coldplay came in, or "Dancing shoes" by Arctic Monkeys and "She will be loved" by Maroon 5, here you have a little info.
For the people who didn't know, "Rhythms del Mundo" is a merge between cuban musicians coming out of Buena Vista Social Club and some other bands from all over the world like USA, UK, Ireland, etc in which the mentioned album, the cuban musicians made up some cool arrangements to the already existing songs.
Now, they just came up with a new release called "Rhythms del Mundo: Classics" in which they take some of the "best music classics" played in covers by some other bands and with the cuban musicians arrangements. Sounds good doesn't it?
Some of the classics that we can find in the album are "Under Pressure" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Beat it" by Michael Jackson, "Imagine" by John Lennon, "Are you ready for love?" by Elton John, "Smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana and some others and played by bands like Cat Power, Amy Winehouse, Editors, The Killers, The Kooks, Keane...
The best thing of all this is that Rhythms del Mundo is a non-profit album that proceeds benefits the environmental organization, which by the way is nonprofit as well, APE (Artists Project Earth), which recruits internationally known musicians and artists through albums, concerts, art exhibitions and art related projects to raise awareness of climate change and funds for campaigns and disaster relief.
So now that you know, and as i couldn't find a thing on youtube or any other 'free streaming' website where you could listen to the album, i came up with the idea of uploading it on my Orb channel for you to be able to listen to it without dowloading it.
